Mykelti Williamson plays Lt. Gerard in CBS's fall revival of "The Fugitive."

Any second thoughts about accepting the role that most people now associate with Tommy Lee Jones' portrayal in the Harrison Ford film?

"I was really a little nervous and afraid to approach this character, and I reached out and called Tommy Lee Jones. . . . He told me what some of my challenges would be. . . . He's a wonderful man."

You're a supporter of the strike by the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists over royalty payments. Why?

"My wife makes her living in commercials. ... For advertising agencies to not take seriously how important it is for the commercial actor to make a living is unethical."
