Three students from the United Arab Emirates have withdrawn from Pacific Lutheran University and returned home after the terrorist attacks Sept. 11 in New York and Washington, D.C.
Earlier this week, Washington State University announced that 47 students from the United Arab Emirates withdrew from the Pullman campus. Other colleges around the state, most of which have not yet started classes, have no indication that large numbers of Middle Eastern students will not show up. The three first-year students at PLU, which started classes Sept. 10, left the Tacoma-area university Sept. 14, a spokeswoman said.
