Sailboard schooling
Seattle Parks and Recreation offers beginning and intermediate lessons out of the Mount Baker Rowing & Sailing Center on Lake Washington. Lessons including four sessions of 2 hours each and cost $60. All equipment is provided. Call 386-1913.
The Urban Surf shop in Seattle offers beginner and intermediate classes, during a single session of four hours, on Lake Ballinger. Cost is $69. All equipment is provided; 545-9463. The shop is also conducting a free "Learn to Windsurf Day" at Lake Ballinger Park on Aug. 14, from 3 p.m. to dusk.
