The drawing depicts a man and woman engaged in a deep kiss. The bubble rising above the woman reads: "Golly! No one's ever kissed me like this before ... except my cocker spaniel, but he used less tongue."
Welcome to a new comic book series by Seattle-based writer John Lustig. It's called "Last Kiss" and its funny, wacky, sexy stuff. Lustig has written Disney comic books for 14 years.
For his new series, he bought the rights to romance comic books from '50s and '60s. He removed all the text and inserted his own dialogue poking sly fun at old-school values and comic book camp.
"Creepin' crawlers! I've been bitten by a radioactive snake! I wonder what strange powers I'll develop!" cries a woman standing over a snake. "The ability to stop breathing ... and turn blue, you nitwit!" the snake responds.
"Last Kiss" arrives in comic book stores today.
